Treating Canvas Boat Cover

Canvas on my 24' sea ray sun deck is no longer water resistant. i want to treat the canvas with the best product for making the canvas water resistant again. thanks. there are plenty of good products for waterproofing boat covers. we ran a controled test on 3 products and starbrite out performed the rest.. If the boat cover is acrylic, you will need to re-treat it for water repellence.check with the manufacturer of the cover for the right solution to use. use a clear silicone spray to lubricate the zippers in your marine canvas regularly. spray the the silicone onto the zipper and work it back and forth into the zipper.. Spray on one or two coats of the treatment allowing the first coat to dry completely before applying the second coat. mold and mildew on canvas boat tops and covers look bad and can be potentially unhealthy. with the right cleaning tips and a little work the boat top or cover can be cleaned to look new. tips & warnings.

Clean the cover and let dry completely.lay out the cover and lightly spray the cover with a good waterproof spray that is specifically designed for canvas /sunbrella covers. i too use the 303 product with good success. take the time to follow these steps and it will last 3+ years minimum..
